To be eligible to compete in IRIC 2020, you must:

Be 13-19 yrs.

as of June 01, 2020

Be a Student

in grade 8-12 in North America

Have worked on your project alone or with maximum 1 partner

Submit your application

by July 05, 2020


The scheduled agenda for IRIC is as follows:

Applications Open

01 JUN 2020

Our online application portal will open on June 01, and remain open for the next 5 weeks. Anyone who meets the eligibility criteria is encouraged to apply!

Applications Close

05 JUL 2020

Applications will close on July 5. All required material must be submitted to our portal by this time.

Round 1 Judging


IRIC's Scientific Review Committee will judge your project based on the submitted materials, and select the top 200 contestants for exhibition to the IRIC online platform on a rolling basis.

Projects Go Live!

8 JUL 2020

The top 200 projects will be showcased to the public, and the link to the online platform will go live.

Round 2 Judging

08-21 JUL 2020

IRIC's Scientific Review Committee will conduct video interviews (you will be judged by a minimum of 2 evaluators), and select the top projects to qualify for sponsored, merit, category, and prime awards.

Awards Ceremony

25 JUL 2020

Winners will be announced in a virtual livestream, and will be showcased on the website.
